HunkyDory Puppets were in Canberra for 12 months from July 2011 to July 2012. Whilst in ACT Marcus was busy developing and making several new puppets! He also created a hand cranked minitaure puppet machine that when you cranked the handle several moving things happened at the same time. Marcus has ideas of pursuing art therapy for adults with some of his puppet making ideas and skills.
Together with this Carolyn and Marcus developed 9 lessons in simple puppet making.They taught this program in primary schools to assist students to build self esteem and confidence.The school program was very successful, as was our stay in Australia's capital, where we performed at the Tuggeranong Arts Festival, Belconnen Arts Centre as well as the Disability Festival at Queanbeyan.
